Bottles lying down, years to come
Up to 60 square metres of stone vaults, where the wine sleeps and slowly changes, without hurry.
Coolness that never changes
The stone of the vaults keeps the temperature almost constant, and the darkness keeps light away from the bottles. Here the wine needs nothing but time.
The wooden shelves and the barrels in the background are arranged to let air circulate, so that every bottle stays in the same conditions.
The stone vault
The thick walls and low vault make the cellar a quiet place, where sounds fade.
Darkness and quiet
With no direct light and no noise, the wine stays undisturbed while you choose what comes next.
Bottles lying down
The cork stays moist, and the wine does not oxidise. The bottles are turned rarely and taken out when they are ready.
How a wine is served
-
Choosing
You stand between the shelves and choose a bottle by the season, by the meal, by your mood.
-
Opening
The bottle is opened slowly, and the first glass is set on the wooden table, next to the cheese and bread.
-
Patience
The wine is left to breathe for a few minutes. No one hurries.
“Good wine needs time, and the time here is not measured by the clock.”
